PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly machine a web material by reliably recovering punching chips. SOLUTION: In this machining device of a web material for punching a timing mark 64 in the web material 20 by a second rotary die cutter 60, a pushing-in drum 70 synchronously rotating with a second rotary die cutter 60 and enclosing a pin 74 and a suction drum 72 for sucking/recovering punching chips 68 are arranged/constituted on the downstream side of the second rotary die cutter 60 to suck/recover the punching chips 68 to the suction drum 72 by pushing the punching chips 68 existing in a punching hole 64 of the continuously traveling web material 20 in a suction port 94 of the suction drum 72 by the pin 74 of the pushing-in drum 70.
