PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a pin point saddle stitch of an optional length by providing a needle width adjusting means which can adjust a needle width between a sewing needle and a catching needle in a sewing machine which forms the pin point saddle stitch by the sewing needle and the catching needle which are arranged in parallel in the fabric feeding direction. SOLUTION: On a fixed needle clamp body 10, a flat surface section 12 at the upper section of which a screw section 11 to be fixed to a needle bar, is provided in a manner to be located this side in the fabric feeding direction of a sewing machine, and a graduation M is provided at the central section, and a fixed needle clamp 13 is formed at the lower section. Then, on the fixed needle clamp 13, a pair of guide grooves 14 are formed in a manner to be in parallel with the fabric feeding direction on both side ends of the upper section, and at the same time, a slit 15 is formed in a manner to go through the guide grooves 14 by corresponding with the graduation M. Then, in the guide groove 14, the sliding section 26 of an adjustable needle clamp 25 is loosely fitted, and by screwing a screw 30 through the slit 15 which is formed on the guide groove 14, with a hole 27 and a threaded section 28 which are formed on the sliding section 26, the adjustable needle clamp 25 is location-adjustably fixed to the fixed needle clamp 13.
