PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promote efficiency of dust collection with a simple constitution in which this sucking mouth body gathers up dust suck as thread rubbish and hair entangled with a carpet, or the like, and sucks it by equipping an airtight piece to open and close at the front of the dust-sucking mouth correspondingly to an advance and a retreat of the dust-sucking mouth body for a vacuum cleaner and placing multiple projections on the surface of the airtight piece on the dust-sucking mouth side. SOLUTION: When a sucking mouth body 1 advances, an airtight piece 13b moves backward to touch to a rear stopper part 11a by friction between a floor surface and sheet-state parts 16c, 16d of an auxiliary piece 16 that touches to the floor surface. At this moment, a sheet-state part 16e touches to the floor surface. The front of a dust-sucking mouth 14 then opens, so that it is easy to suck large trash and dust near a wall corner. When the sucking mouth body 1 retreats, the airtight piece 13b moves forward by friction between the floor surface and the sheet-state part 16e, 16d that touch to the floor surface until the airtight piece 13b touches to a front stopper part 10a. The sheet-state part 16c touches top the floor surface at this moment, and the sucking mouth 14 closes. Thus, this sucking mouth body for a vacuum cleaner heightens a vacuum of the dust-sucking mouth 14 part and improves sucking power.
