PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst composition for deodorization which contains both an adsorbent capable of being regenerated at low temperature and a catalyst capable of firing at low temperature and is widely usable. SOLUTION: This catalyst composition for deodorization contains an alkali metal ion-exchanged zeolite as an adsorbent and a compounded oxide containing manganese together with one or more metals selected from nickel, cobalt, and copper as a combustion catalyst and especially, the catalyst composition contains a zeolite having a fine pore diameter smaller than the molecular diameter of benzene ring as an adsorbent. A widely usable catalyst composition for deodorization containing both an adsorbent capable of being regenerated at low temperature and a catalyst capable of firing at low temperature can be materialized by using the composition. |
