PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and economical cleaner for articles to be cleaned by providing a vapor cleaning part and a vapor generating part in a single cleaning tank in the cleaner to conductor vapor cleaning and drying and further to make communication and disconnection between the vapor cleaning and vapor generating parts with only a short movement of a closing lid interposed between both parts. SOLUTION: A vapor cleaning part 3 for cleaning and drying articles to be cleaned is furnished at an upper part, and a vapor generating part 4 filled with a cleaning soln. 7 and vaporizing the soln. 7 is provided at a lower part to form a cleaning tank 1. The vapor cleaning part 3 is communicated with the vapor generating part 4 through a communicating port 10, and the port 10 is closed or opened by a vertically movable closing lid 11.
