PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scum removing device capable of doing with a running cost reduced. SOLUTION: This scum removing device has an interlocking mechanism moving in linkage with a sludge scraper member 6 provided free to circulate in a treating basin to scrape up a deposit and a scum inducing and discharging device 10 provided with a weir means 14 for interrupting the scum on the water surface 2 in linkage with the movement of the interlocking mechanism and alternately inducing the scum. Further, the interlocking mechanism is provided with an interlocking member 32 having a cam 33 facing an orbit on the scraper member 6 side, lying toward the scraper member 6 and turned away from the orbit for a fixed time and a transmission part 34 capable of linking the cam 33 and the weir means 14 and the guiding and supporting means 25 and 26 lying toward the scraper 6 and supporting at least the interlocking member 32 vertically movably.
