PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold the protection of a wire by preventing an elastic cover member from peeling off from a spring in a space in a wire saw. SOLUTION: Sleeves 3 on which cutting beads 2 are fitted are fitted and fixed on a wire 1 at predetermined intervals. A steel coil spring 8 is interposed between each adjacent cutting beads 2. An elastic cover member 9 made of rubber covers over the wire between each adjacent cutting beads 2 so that the coil spring is embedded in the cover member 9. The outer surface of the steel coil spring is plated with copper alloy in order to enhance the adhesion with respect to the elastic cover member 9 made of rubber.
