PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer machining method and a device therefor by which the occurrence of rolling phenomenon of a work can be prevented in a prescribed process and the machining precision and productivity of the work can be improved in a transfer press in which works are successively transferred in two dimensions by two parallel feed bars. SOLUTION: A groove 7 passing through in the feed direction of a work is arranged to the upper face of a lifter 2 elevatably arranged to the outer circumferential part of a piercing die 2, a tapered part 7A is arranged at the inlet side of the groove 7, the notch conforming to the groove 7 is arranged to the flange of a cylindrical work in the pre-process of the working process by a working die of a ceiling piercing hole, etc., of the lifter 3, in transferring the work between adjacent dies, in carrying to the die/carrying out and in working by the die, the notch part of the work is guided by the groove 7.
