PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal-including azafullerene cation represented by the formula: Lan'at'Cm-1N+ (when n is 2, m is 80; when n is 1, m is 82). SOLUTION: The metal-including azafullerence cation represented by the formula: Lan'at'Cm-1N+ (when n is 2, m is 80; when n is 1, m is 82) is produced by allowing an azide of the formula: RN3 (R is CH2Ph, Ph or COOEt) (benzylazide) to react with the same as in the above-stated one) with a metal- including azafullerene represented by the formula: LanCm (when n is 2, m is 80; when n is 1, m is 82) to form the adduct of the formula: Lan'at'Cm(NR3) (R is the same as in the fore-going formula) and ionizing the adduct in the ionizing mass spectrometer (high-speed atom bombardment mass spectrometer) and substituting the carbon atom in the cage with the nitrogen atoms. |
