PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer recording medium of superior heat sensitivity and thermal transfer properties, capable of carrying out a high speed printing and forming a transfer image of superior wear resistance. SOLUTION: A heat-sensitive recording medium is provided with a heat melt able ink layer on a support substrate directly or through a release layer, and the ink layer is a thermal transfer recording medium composed mainly of a coloring agent, a polyester resin (preferably Tg 30-50 deg.C, and 15000-20000 of number average molecular weight) and a naphthalene derivative. |
