<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new hapten compound of inabefide useful as a plant growth hormone. SOLUTION: This compound shown by formula I [L is a halogen; (n) is 1-10] e.g. 6-[4-(4-chloro-2-(α-hydroxybenzyl)anilinocarbonyl)phenoxy]hexanoic acid} is obtained, for example, by adding a thionyl halide (e.g. thionyl chloride) to a compound shown by formula II (P1 is a protecting group for a hydroxyl group), refluxing the obtained mixture, condensing the resultant mixture, dissolving the obtained residue into an organic solvent (e.g. acetonitrile), reacting the obtained mixture with a compound shown by formula III in the presence of a base preferably at 0 deg.C to a boiling temperature of the solvent to synthesize a compound shown by formula IV, removing a protecting group from the compound shown by formula IV, reacting the obtained compound with the compound L'-(CH2)n-COOP2 (L' is a halogen; P2 is a protecting group for a carboxyl group) in an organic solvent in the presence of a base to give a compound shown by formula V, reducing the obtained compound, followed by removing the protecting group for a carboxyl group P2.</p> |
