PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fully enhance watertightness at, e.g. downgrade ridges cut diagonally to be connected or ridges cut at right angle to be connected, in heat insulating roofing having a heat insulating material packed between front and back metallic plates. SOLUTION: In a position downstream from the cut edge C of heat insulating roofing A, a plate-shaped insertion spacer member 18 is inserted into sawing marks 17 cut in respective portions of a front metallic plate 1 and a heat insulating material 3 up to a position lower than a valley part 6. A watertight sealant 19 is added along the edges of contact between the insertion spacer member 18 and the front metallic plate 3 and a ridge cap 15 covers a portion above the connection between the heat insulating roofing A, A including the insertion spacer members 18, 18.
