PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating and rapid cooling apparatus, in which the heating and the rapid cooling of a material to be treated and the reduction of a setting space are realized. SOLUTION: In this heating and rapid cooling apparatus, a rapid cooling device 2 which has a forcibly air-cooling structure for blasting the clear air from a suction blower 21 through a blasting duct 23, etc., while executing the gas exhaust from an exhaust blower 20 and blowing to the material 3 to be treated is disposed so as to be adjoined to the carry-out side of the material to be treated to a heating device 1, and the material 3 to be treated carried out from the heating device 1, is rapidly cooled with the blasing. Further, it is prevented that the temp. in the heating device is varied at the blasting time with a shutter 26.
