PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pharmaceutical preparation effective for preventing/ treating glucose tolerance disorders, diabetes, diabetic complications, insulin resistance syndrome, and the like by including a benzimidazole derivative having hypoglycemic activity or PDE5 inhibitory action. SOLUTION: This pharmaceutical preparation to be used as a preventive/ therapeutic agent for e.g. diseases characterized by hyperlipemia, atherosclerosis, cardiovascular diseases, hyperglycemia, hypertension, stenocardia, pulmonary hypertension, congestive heart failure, glomerular diseases, tubular interstitial diseases, renal failure, vascular constriction, peripheral vascular diseases, apoplexy, chronic reversible obstructive impairment, allergic rhinitis, urticaria, etc., as well as the diseases as mentioned above is obtained by including a compound of formula I [R1 is H, an arylsulfonyl or (substituted) lower alkyl; R2 is H, a lower cycloalkyl or the like; R3 is carboxyl, amino, amido or the like; R4 is a neutral substituent; n is 0-3] which is prepared using a compound of formula II (R1a is R1 group or the like; R3a is R3 group or the like) as starting material. |
