PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet printing method which uses an ink jet ink compo sition containing a magenta metal complex having both a good light stability and a light hue. SOLUTION: This method comprises preparing an ink jet printer which responds to digital data signals, loading an ink-accepting substrate onto the printer, loading an ink jet ink comprising a carrier and a polyvalent transition metal complex of 8-heterocyclylazo-5-hydroxyquinolilne onto the printer, and printing on the substrate with the ink in response to the digital data signals. |
