PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the sense of incongruity such as shock caused by torque difference when switching a shift pattern of an automatic transmission to a power mode attaching importance to accelerating performance in a lean-burn engine. SOLUTION: When a mode change-over switch is turned on, a shift pattern is switched from a normal mode attaching importance to economy, to a power mode attaching importance to accelerating performance. At the same time, a target air-fuel ratio map of a lean-burn engine is switched from a normal mode time target air-fuel ratio map to a power mode time target air-fuel ratio map, and a lean area is set narrower at the power mode compared to the normal mode. As a result, even switching the shift pattern torque difference is minimum so as to reduce the sense of incongruity felt by a driver.
|
