PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To strongly joint materials without eluting aluminum by brazing a ceramic-aluminum composite material to an aluminum oxide sintered body using a composition material composed of a given proportion of aluminum, copper, and titanium. SOLUTION: This brazing filler metal 9 is composed of 57-64 weight% aluminum, 28-31 weight% copper, and 5-15 weight% titanium. The brazing filler metal 9 joints a heat dissipating plate 8 consisting of a ceramic-aluminum composite material and an insulating substrate 1 consisting of an aluminum oxide sintered body. The brazing temperature is not higher than 630 deg.C, and aluminum is note eluted from the heat dissipating plate 8 when the heat to melt the brazing filler metal is applied. Since active metallic titanium is contained, it is not necessary to form/adhere a metallized layer on the insulating substrate 1 before brazing is done. A ceramic-aluminum composite material is strongly brazed to a ceramic material at the joint strength of 1 kgf/mm2 or more.
|
