PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To employ, using a top light, a space beneath an overhanging member which overhangs outwards from an exterior wall surface, to keep brightness good in the space beneath the overhanging member even in a condition where daylighting is difficult with the top light, and to keep brightness good for the entire space beneath the overhanging member during the night even if the amount of overhang of the overhanging member is large. SOLUTION: A snow guard 1 is provided at the porch C and the verandah of a house in a cold district. A balcony E is formed above the snow guard 1 and a daylighting opening 91 is provided in the balcony floor 3 thereof. The upper part of the opening 91 is closed with a domed daylighting member 95 made of acrylic resin. A luminaire 10 capable of illuminating the porch C and the verandah is mounted on the inner surface of the opening 91.
