PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire improving durability of a bead part without increasing the weight of the tire. SOLUTION: A recessed part 212 is provided at a tire outer side face between a separation point D where the tire outer side face separates from a rim flange 21, and the maximum width position of a tire. A tire radial outer end B is set to a point closer to the radial outside of the tire than to the tire radial outer end E of a stiffener 18, and the stiffener 18 is made thin on the whole. Heat accumulation of a bead part 12 can be suppressed, and softening of rubber caused by the heat build-up of rubber near an end 14C of a wound part 14B of a carcass 14 can be suppressed to reduce distortion near the end 14C. As a result, the formation of a crack of rubber from the end 14C is suppressed to prevent the failure of the bead part 12.
