PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an accordion type sash extremely compact when folded so as to secure a large opening part and beautifully finsihed allowing a sheet member to be easily replaced. SOLUTION: An accordion type sash has a sheet member 1 formed bent zigzag in plane cross section so as to be laterally extensive, with slots 16 formed piercing the upper part of each piece bent zigzag; first and second support members 12, 13 provided along both sides of the sheet member 11; and support strings or support bands inserted through each piece of the zigzag bent sheet member 11 at the intermediate part and lower part of the sheet member 11 and fixed at both ends to the first and second support members 12, 13.
