PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hollow double wall structure capable of obtaining high strength even against load in any direction and a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: A hollow double wall structure 1 is constituted of a surface wall 2, the back wall 3 opposed to the surface wall 2 so as to leave an interval and the peripheral wall 4 forming a hollow part 5 between the surface wall 2 and the back wall 3. A rod-shaped element 6 is arranged in the hollow part 5 and the encircling wall 7 encircling the periphery of the rod-shaped element 6 and integrated with the surface wall 2 and the back wall 3 is provided. The inner rib 8 crossing the rod-shaped element 6 is integrally formed to the surface wall 2 and the back wall 3.
