PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify and cheapen reduce the cost of construction and to improve the airtightness to ameliorate the deodorizing property with respect to the sliding lid device to close an opening by sliding the lid horizontally by attaching a low frictional coefficient material on at least one between the sliding face of the body and the sliding face of the lid forming the opening. SOLUTION: A retainer protrusion 16 is extended outward from the two side face plates of a box lid 2, and an ultrahigh-mol.wt. PE plate 15, for example, as a low frictional coefficient material is attached to a sliding face 17 as the lower face. Meanwhile, a steel lid holder 32 is riveted 36 to the upper faces of both ends 31 of a concrete body forming an opening 30. A vertical wall surface 33 and the receiving plates 34 horizontally projected from the top and center of the wall surface are provided to the holder 32. The lower face of the PE plate 15 is abutted on the sliding face 55 as the upper face of the receiving plate 34 to place the lid 2 thereon. The lid device 3 thus constituted is a two-stage sliding lid device capable of being opened and closed at an optional place.
