PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase seam patterns that can be sewn while simplifying and miniaturizing a pattern selector, improve the controllability of pattern selection and curb manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: As a first spiral pattern selection cam 52 made up of three bars is formed on the front end side of release cam 50, a second spiral pattern selection cam 57 is formed on the rear end side of the release cam 50, a needle swinging slide pin 43 is structured so as to move along the cam groove 53 of the first spiral pattern selection cam 52, a feed slide pin 48 is structured so as to move along the cam groove 58 of the second spiral pattern selection cam 57, the release cam 50 can be rotated three times, and the number of seam patterns that can be selected by one rotation of a pattern selection dial can be nearly tripled while simplifying and miniaturizing the pattern selector.
