PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition having flexibility, rubber elasticity and low stress and useful for potting material or the like by adding a polyisobutylene-based polymer to an epoxy resin. SOLUTION: This compound comprises two components of (A) an epoxy resin and (B) a polyisobutylene-based polymer having >1 carboxy group per molecule, and further preferably contains (C) a hardening agent for the component A (e.g. diethylenetriamine) and/or (D) an inorganic filler (e.g. fumed silica). It is preferable that the proportion of the added component B is 0.1-1,000 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. component A. For example the component A is preferably bisphenol A, and the component B is preferably a copolymer or the like of the isobutylene with a copolymer component such as 1-butene.
