SOLUTION: The tilt control system for forklift trucks comprises a potentiometer for detecting lever manipulated variable data M of a tilt control lever, a pressure sensor for detecting load data W on the weight of loads placed on forks, a potentiometer for detecting lift position data T of the forks, a controller for computing a lever-manipulated-variable-based command value YM from the lever manipulated variable data M by the potentiometer and a ceiling command value Ymax from the load data W by the pressure sensor and the lift position data T by the potentiometer and for comparing both command and ceiling command values YM and Ymax to output the lower value as an output value Y, and a solenoid-operated proportional valve for receiving the output value Y from the controller and operates a mast-tilting tilt cylinder accordingly.
