PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the quantity of paper loaded on a plurality of bins without enlarging a device by arranging one of a plurality of bins on a predetermined position and detecting the quantity of paper loaded on the predetermined bin. SOLUTION: When a bin 22 is stopped at a predetermined position, a solenoid 121 is switched ON. When the paper 2 is loaded on the bin 22, a detecting arm 130 is rotated by the paper 2 anticlockwise about a shaft 131 to a positioning arm 128 against the energizing force of a spring 132. In accompany therewith, a light shielding plate 130A of the detecting arm 130 shields an optical axis of a photosensor 134, and the photosensor 134 outputs a predetermined signal. Further when more than the specified quantity of paper 2 is loaded on the bin 22, the light shielding plate 130A shields the optical axes of the photosensor 134 and a photosensor 135, and the photosensor 135 outputs a predetermined signal.
