PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single-rail heavy machinery transporting truck that is either towed by a motor driven car or of the self-traveling type, facilitating the raising and lowering of heavy machinery that is the cargo. SOLUTION: A roller that moves while gripping a rail 1 and a rack supporting the roller are provided and a frame 4 supporting cargo is constructed on the rack. A platform 5 is provided on the frame 4. The illustrated platform 5 serves also as a step for raising or lowering heavy machinery and has a characteristic such that when it is lifted up or slid, the end face of the platform 5 (step) is grounded, so that the platform 5 is turned about a part of the frame 4 by a turning plate provided over or beneath a lift, and so that the platform 5 can move up and down. The platform in another embodiment has a step storage box beneath the frame to store the sliding step in the storage box, and is grounded when a part of the step provided on the right of the platform is extended. The platform in the other embodiment is of the self-traveling type provided with a prime mover on the rack, with front and rear steps stored in the storage box beneath the frame and capable of being grounded by sliding forward and backward.
