PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new DNA which consists of a promoter domain DNA in mouse polypeptide chain elongation factor gene, contributing to the efficient expression of structural genes by integrating it into a vector and is used for producing physiologically active substances by a recombinant technique. SOLUTION: This DNA is a new promoter domain DNA in mouse polypeptide chain elongation factor containing at least number 1-343 base sequence or the like in the base sequence represented by the formula, permits the efficient expression of structural genes by integrating it into a vector, e.g. plasmid or the like, and is useful as a promoter or the like used in the production of physiologically active substances using a recombinant DNA technique. This DNA is obtained by screening out a mouse genomic DNA BAC library, which is prepared by using mouse genome DNA and pBelo BAC vector, by means of PCR method using a primer comprising of the sequence presumed from the structure of human EF1A-1 gene. |
