PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide traffic signpost equipment requiring no commercial power source, easily visible even in the darkness of night with no light around it, with low equipment and maintenance cost. SOLUTION: Traffic signpost equipment is provided with a plurality of signpost units 9 having a light-accumulating member 12 emitting fluorescence by the accumulated light energy and a photo-exciting means 11 capable of irradiating the light of a specific wavelength to the light-accumulating member 12; a control box 2 incorporated with a storage battery 4 capable of accumulating the electromotive force of a solar panel 3; and a circumferential light detector 10 capable of detecting the illuminance of the circumference. The charge to the storage battery 4 is carried out by the signal of the circumferential light detector 10 in the daytime of high illuminance of the circumference, and at night of low illuminance of the circumference, the power from the storage battery 4 is supplied to intermittently turn on the photo-exciting means 11 for a given time, so that light energy is periodically accumulated in the light- accumulating member 12. |
