PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a large printer having a function of preventing a hand or finger from being caught in the vicinity of a rotational base end part of a roll paper cover. SOLUTION: The large printer has a paper feed part 30, a printing part 7 and a delivered paper stack part 8 arranged in a positional relationship of upper, middle and lower positions. A paper transfer path running from the paper feed part 30 through the printing part 7 to the delivered paper stack part 8 is formed nearly straight from a diagonally upper depth to a diagonally lower front of the printer. In this large printer, a roll paper cover 28 is set to the paper feed part 30, which has an upper base end part rotatably fitted to a frame 6 of a printer main body and is opened and closed when an inside roll paper is exchanged or the like. A cam-shaped guide member 50 is formed to a rotational base end part of the roll paper cover 28 to prevent a hand or finger from being caught between the roll paper cover 28 and the frame 6 when the roll paper cover 28 is closed.
