PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image-recording system and a dot image data memory apparatus whereby a stop in recording images incident to formation of image data is restricted, so that image data can be output at a high speed and images can be recorded at a high speed. SOLUTION: This image-recording system includes a dot image data- generating apparatus 200 for forming and outputting dot image data, an image- recording apparatus 1 for recording dot images to a photosensitive material in accordance with the dot image data, and a dot image data memory apparatus 500 for storing the dot image data formed by the dot image data-generating apparatus and outputting the dot image data to the image-recording apparatus. The dot image data memory apparatus has a memory device for storing dot image data of one sheet of a subject color for each of N or N-1 colors.
