PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fasten a band to a shaft member of different diameter by making changeable the holding position of the shaft member in a work holding jig so as to position the fastening piece of the band wound on the shaft member on a specified pressure point by a pressing jig according to the diameter of the shaft member. SOLUTION: When a band B is fastened to a drive shaft Ds of small diameter, an offset jig 9 in response to the diameter of the drive shaft Ds is mounted in the fitting groove 2a of a work hiding jig 2, and the drive shaft Ds under the condition in which the band B is wound around a fitted damper DA is fitted into the fitting groove 9a of the offset jig 9. In this case, the fastening piece BX of the band B is positioned on a specified pressure point. The extreme end part of a pressing jig 3 is approached from the diametral direction to the drive shaft Ds held under this condition, trouble for fastening of the band B is eliminated, and the damper DA is strongly assembled with the drive shaft Ds.
