PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preparing a nonaqueous polymer dispersion useful for coating materials and the like. SOLUTION: A method for preparing a nonaqueous polymer dispersion comprises subjecting at least one vinyl monomer to nonaqueous dispersion polymerization in the presence of a dispersion stabilizer composed of a fluorine- containing copolymer having fluroolefin monomer units, cycloalkyl group- containing (meth)acrylic ester monomer units and alkoxysilyl group-containing monomer units as the major components in an organic solvent in which the monomer is soluble but the polymer to be formed is insoluble.
