PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the discharge displacement changeable from the outside only by giving a simple device to a compressor which has a conventional inside control valve. SOLUTION: The pressure sensitive chamber 63 of a displacement control valve 60 provided to a compressor is communicated to a suction chamber 38 through a passage 50. At the lower side area of a valve chest 62 where a valve plug 72 is operated to open and close by a bellows 66 displaced by the inner pressure of the pressure sensitive chamber 63, a discharge room 39 is communicated, and at the same time, a pressure sensitive chamber 63 is communicated by a clearance 59 provided between a rod guide 64 and a pressure sensitive rod 65. A crank case 15 is communicated to the upper side area of the valve chest 62, and the discharge room 39 is made to communicate to the crankcase 15 through the valve chest 62. While a solenoid switching valve 51 is provided to control the discharge of a high pressure coolant gas led in from the lower side area of the valve chest 62 to the pressure sensitive chamber 63 is provided on the passage 50, a detour passage 50a to communicate the pressure sensitive chamber 63 to the suction chamber 38 constantly by detouring the solenoid switching valve 51 is also provided.
