PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely capture and remove aldehyde harmful to the human body, especially formaldehyde generated in a newly built or refurbished house or in a room where furniture is installed by including iron phosphate-ammonium oxalate complex in an aldehyde capture removing agent. SOLUTION: As iron phosphate-ammonium oxalate complex used in an aldehyde capture and removal agent, preferably cited is a compound expressed by a general formula FePO4.x(H2O)2.y(COONH4)2 (wherein x indicates integers of 0 to 4 and y indicates integers of 1 to 4). As another iron phosphate-oxalic acid-nitrogen contained heterocyclic amine complex used in the aldehyde capture and removal agent, preferably cited is a compound expressed by FePO4.x(H2O)2 y[(COOH)2.2z] (wherein x indicates integers of 0 to 4, and y indicates integers of 1 to 4). Each complex is supported on a carrier to improve the capture and removal performance.
