PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a caliper brake for a rolling stock capable of easily replacing brake blocks and also capable of reducing the number of constituents at the extreme parts of the caliper arms of a caliper, and achieving lightweight. SOLUTION: Anchor blocks 93, 94 installed at the extreme parts of caliper arms 22, 23 and receiving brake torque through a brake block 21 in braking are coupled in a relatively movable way in the axial direction of a rotor only to the extreme parts of the caliper arms 22, 23 with the aid of the engagement of engaging grooves 100 with engaging projects 101 extended along the axial direction of the rotor. The relative movement in the axial direction of the rotor of the anchor blocks 93, 94 and the caliper arms 22, 23 is regulated by one anti-parting screw 103 penetrated through the engaging parts of the anchor blocks 93, 94 and the caliper arms 22, 23 by orthogonal intersection in the axial direction of the rotor.
