PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electroconductive polymer complex paper having softness of characteristic paper, cheapness, pliability and toughness, useful as an antistatic packing paper and an alkali sensor by internally adding an electroconductive polymer to a paper pulp and treating the paper with an acid. SOLUTION: An electroconductive polymer as a polyaniline-based, a polypyrrole-based or a polythiophene-based polymer as an emeraldin base in an amount of 5-24 wt.% based on the total of the polymer and a paper pulp is internally added to the paper pulp, which is made into a paper and treated with an acid to give an electroconductive polymer complex paper having >=1 s/cm electrical conductivity.
