PURPOSE:To decrease the number of components and to reduce the cost by assembling optical system components including a polygon motor directly in a resin frame which is molded in one body, and fitting and positioning other various components and units and also providing an air discharge guide part for generating a flow of discharged air. CONSTITUTION:The box-shaped resin frame 60 is molded integrally out of resin containing glass fiber. A fitting seat for positioning and fixing the polygon motor P and optical components for optical writing is molded integrally at the bottom part 60c in the resin frame 60, and the optical components are fitted to the fitting seat to constitute an optical device 18, which is covered with a cover 61. A couple of rails 62 and 62 for mounting a unitized photosensitive body, a cleaning device, etc., are formed below the resin frame 60. An opening 66 is bored in a side wall 60a nearby an electrostatic charger. Then the part extending from the opening 66 to an opening 68 by passing under the resin frame 60 forms the lower part of the air discharge guide part 71. |
