PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combined gasification power generation method using brown coal using slurry medium other than water and heavy oil as a raw material by supplying carbon compound to a gasifying furnace as slurry of methanol, and synthesizing methanol by a part of synthesized gas obtained. SOLUTION: Brown coal reserved in a storing facility is finely ground in a grinding process 2, and then the brown coal is mixed with methanol so as to form slurry in a slurry process 3. The slurry is heated and partially oxidized together with oxygen in a gasifying furnace 4, and is changed into synthesized gas comprising hydrogen, carbon monoxide, and carbon dioxide as main components. The synthesized gas is divided into two parts, a part is regenerated to methanol in a synthesizing process 6, and the residual part is supplied to a combined gasification power generation process as combustion gas and processed. Raw methanol generated in the synthesizing process 6 is supplied to the slurry process 3, and is mixed with fine brown coal so as to generate brown coal-methanol slurry. Combined gasification power generation can be realized even if heavy oil is not acquired.
