PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means and a method for easily and accurately adjusting and fixing verticalness and levelness when a fittings frame is fitted to an opening backing frame forming an opening part in the wall of a building. SOLUTION: A plate spring 11 for adjusting and fixing verticalness and levelness of a fittings frame 4 is disposed between an opening backing frame forming an opening part provided in the wall of a building, and the fittings frame 4 fitted to the opening backing frame. The plate spring 1 has a body part 12 fitted to the opening backing frame side of the fittings frame 4, and a pair of elastically deformable leg parts 13 protruded toward the opening backing frame from both lateral ends of the body part 12. A fitting adjusting threaded hole 16 communicated with a fitting adjusting screw insert hole 24 formed in the fittings frame 4 is formed in the body part 12. A fitting adjusting screw is thread-fastened to the opening backing frame from the fitting adjusting screw insert hole of the fittings frame 4 through the fitting adjusting threaded hole 16 of the body part 12 of the plate spring 11 to fit the fittings frame 4 to the opening backing frame and to adjust and fix verticalness and levelness of the fittings frame 4.
