PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent the intrusion of water by protruding a part of a placing part to be placed and fixed onto the upper surface of sheathing board to form a starter protruding part for supporting the eaves edge end part of a roof material. SOLUTION: The fixing piece 23 of the fascia board part 21 of a fascia member 20 is fixed to a rafter 12 by a fixture 24. The placing part 7 of a flashing member 1 is placed extending from the upper surface of the fixing piece 23 to the upper surface of a sheathing 3, and the rear edge of the inclined part of the substantially triangular starter protruding part 6 of the placing part 7 is fixed to the upper surface of the sheathing 3 by a nail 50. Further, the eaves edge lower surface 5a of a roof tile 5 situated at the tip of the eaves is supported by the top part 10 of the starter protruding part 6 of the flashing member 1. The rainwater intruding into the clearance B between the roof tile 5 and the sheathing 3 is stopped on this side of the clearance B by the starter protruding part 6 of the flashing member 1. According to this, the intrusion of water to the deeper side of the clearance B between the roof tile 5 and the sheathing 3 can be surely prevented.
