DRAINAGE STRUCTURE OF ROAD SURFACE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drainage structure for a road surface in which a number of container-shaped members are connected to each other in the longitudinal and lateral directions and the vertical direction to assemble a block structure having required dimensions and bury it in the ground for using it as a drainage structure such as a side ditch. SOLUTION: A water-permeable surface course is formed at least at a part of a road surface and a block structure 6 in which container-shaped members are connected to each other in the longitudinal and lateral directions and the vertical direction, is buried under the surface course to collect water penetrated in the surface course into the block structure 6 and form a water reservoir. A water-impermeable layer is formed at the side face of the block structure 6. Further, the structure is covered with an impervious sheet to prevent accumurated water in the structure from flowing out from the side face to the outside.
