Agent (I) for transfer of nucleic acid (II) comprises a hydrophobic spacer (Sp) chemically linked to (i) a polycation (PC) and (ii) at least one hydrophilic substituent (HS). An Independent claim is also included for a composition comprising (I) and (II).
