PROCESS FOR PRODUCING DISPERSANT FOR POWDERY HYDRAULIC COMPOSITION

A process for producing a dispersant for use in powdery hydraulic compositions, which comprises adding a reducing agent to a liquid consisting mainly of a polycarboxylic acid polymer having a polyalkylene glycol chain and subsequently drying and powdering the mixture; a powdery hydraulic composition obtained by the process; and a hydraulic composition obtained therefrom. The dispersant is satisfactory in flowability and dispersing ability and can be added beforehand to a cement, etc.
