The imager forms the image by an organic photoconductive drum (11) placed at high voltage by charging roller (12) and supplied with toner (22) by the developer roller (14). The toner thickness on roller (14) is controlled by a blade (15), using stirrer (21) for the toner. The cleaning blade is set to one side of the drum (11) on frame (30) and a second blade (32) higher up on the same frame (30) to remove the first blade operation. Toner reservoir (30a) collects unapplied toner below the blade (31) and the second blade is at set spacing above the first and at an angle to collect toner scraped off by this blade (32).
