<p>An alternating current (AC) type plasma display panel (PDP) having an improved dielectric layer structure capable of improving the picture brightness with the enhanced discharging efficiency and light transmission rate, and also capable of preventing a cross talk with the driving voltage being reduced. According to the present invention, an AC PDP comprises the dielectric layer (1, 11, 31, 32, 41, 42, 51 and 52), formed on at least the upper surfaces of at least one of the first electrodes (E1) and the second electrodes (E2) and formed discontinuation regions (2, 12, 13 and 35) on at least one of areas between each of the discharging cells formed at the crossing portions of the first substrate electrodes (E1) and the second substrate electrodes (E2) and areas between each of the transparent electrodes pairs (T) on the first substrate electrodes in each of the discharging cells so that the discontinuation regions may have not the dielectric layer formed thereon.</p> |
