Tape is discharged in nip so tape contacts transfer tape at pressure between 0.05 and 2 N/cm and so onto surface facing image base. Discharger is earthed (23) and adjoins start point or beginning of nip, point coincides with position where tape (21) and discharger make contact. Discharger includes supply roller carrying or holding transfer tape (21).
