<p>A lock plate unit consists of a lock plate (25) having an inclined flange (26). The lock plate (25) has an aperture (27) leading to a recess adapted to receive a bolt of a door. Located between the recess and the lock plate is a resilient element (34). When a door is locked and the bolt of the door lock is received within the recess, if any attempt is made to force the door, force applied to the door will be transferred to the resilient element (34) where the force will be absorbed.</p> |
