The direction reversing unit has a locking device to at least temporary maintain the position between valve slide (15) and slide housing (16). The locking device locks into the valve slide, and has a catch unit. The slide housing has a central axial bore (17) to accommodate the valve slide, and a radial bore next to it for the locking device. The catch unit has a catch ball and a spring to counter load the ball.
