<p>An apparatus is disclosed for assisting in the location, vector, and insertion of a needle-like medical device relative to a patient's body using medical imaging equipment (10) that produces patient cross-sectional images, that has a monitor which displays produced cross-sectional images. Included image conspicuous, and double V reference patterns (30) are sectioned, displayed at the equipment monitor in a manner readily identifying and quantifying position changes necessary to assure accurate needle device location, vector, and insertion.</p> |
